I'm not suggesting this wasn't a loss, but the competition in the league his team plays in is somewhere between youth & freshman football level and I'm not exaggerating even a little bit. For example, sub 200 pound lineman are standard in the christian league. You can't teach speed, but his rating when he committed to NU was more in line with what's justified.

It's likely that he has benefitted from that on the tape but he did outperform a ton of kids from Florida in camps. He won MVP honors in all of them I believe. What you're bringing up is valid in that it hurt his recruiting profile initially but from a physical standpoint, he is definitely a top tier recruit.
 
My guess is that Nebraska didn't appreciate how this played out with him and it soured to the point of completely moving on. His commitment seemed to be rooted in attracting more offers because of Nebraska's name.
