After hearing the story about his dad surviving a shooting when he was young it wouldn't surprise me if he stayed close.

I have family that served over seas who were shot and wounded and they suffered difficult health trouble for a long time afterwards. If I was in this kids shoes I'd stay closer to home too so dad can watch and be there if his health deteriorates.

I completely agree. Seems like dad wants him to commit once he knows that he's comfortable with the recruiting process ending.

I think Nebraska will always have a decent shot given the relationship to the family but this is another example of where recruiting hits reality. We have done everything right recruiting him now we need to show him we can be a winning program and early success for Lamar Jsckson could be a catalyst.

If Dad is on board with him being out here, and we can get the girlfriend interested in the track program, that may be the best shot at getting him. I still think he's going to UCLA, but we have a very attractive situation for him here.

Supposedly on Periscope said he's visiting for Oregon and Fresno game.

Sounded like the GF will make one of the visits, also says she going where he does. Can't wait to try Raisin Canes and GBR.
