Hmmm...that either means:

a)  His visit to Oregon caused a temporary feeling that made him commit and he's questioning that.

b)  His visit to Nebraska caused a temporary feeling that made him question his commitment to Oregon.

c)  His visit to UCLA caused a temporary feeling but now has realized that it's not the place for him and he needs to decide between the two programs that he truly has a good relationship with (Oregon and Nebraska).

d)  He met a hot girl that got him thinking he just wants to stay home, eat ice cream with her and not even go to college.

Time will tell which it is.
