thats about right

no mention of USC though

Perhaps becuase USC has been convicted of........(wait for it) nothing.

If they can sweep this Reggie Bush stuff under the rug, it would truly mean that they are above the law IMO.
Hmmm and what else was there........oh ya, a RAPE! Maybe Visa will sponsor me....

Come on guys. Let's control your partisanship. This is bad for all of college football. Whether you like OU or not, it opened up to the NCAA and it got f__cked as a result. Don't kid yourself. You can't police every little thing that goes on. This could happen here, and all of you would complain how unfair it is. As a result, no program is going to want to disclose anything. You better hope OU wins the appeal. This could be a threat to every program. So in this specific situation, put your anti-OU stuff aside and hope it wins the appeal. This is not amusing at all.

Have to agree. There has to be some consideration given when a school self-reports and attempts corrective actions.

And think about the grounds - a kid working at a private enterprise getting paid under the table. How the hell does a school track that kind of thing? I'm all for holding schools accountable, but that's the kind of thing that could happen to any school, no matter how vigilent it is.

Contrast all of that with the Bush think at USC. As I recall, that was not self-reported. It would seem to me that situation would warrant a far greater punishment.
