CBS Sports: Breaking Down the Big Ten Schedules

Say Nebraska wins its 6 or 8 easier games that leaves what, @Fresno, Miami, @MSU, @WISCONSIN, @IOWA

3 conference road trips, 1 deceptively tricky ooc road trip, and 1 nostalgic team we have no clue what to expect from

If we lose 3 out of 5 of those by less than 5or 6 each due to an injury here or there, will a 9-3 season be a letdown?
It all depends. Did we have 5 turnovers in each of those 5 to 6 point losses? It's not about the #, it's about the way we came to the #.
If we have another 5 turnover a game / 3 interception a game type season somethings gotta give. Theres just no feasible way we cough the ball up as much as we have in the past. Even a slight improvement on ball security would make us skyrocket up that statistic line, what are we now 123rd out of 126?

I hear ya, but they keep defying the odds every year: 108th, 29th (thanks Suh), 61st, 66th, 108th, 119th.

That's some pretty rough turnover margins during the Pelini period. The difference between 119th and 50th is 12. Sad to say I'd like to see us in the 50's, but that would be a HUGE improvement.

@Sean_Callahan: Nebraska will face former Kansas State QB Daniel Sams this year. Just announced he's transferred to McNeese State. #Huskers

Might make McNeese St a bit more of a challenge with his running ability.

I don't care if Colin Kapernick plays for McNeese, that game better have the subs in by the second series of the third.

So.......on a scale of F to A+ where does everybody think our schedule strength grades out at?
C

Not as easy as last year's but close.
For the lack of a marquee name other than Wisconsin and Miami?
And MSU

My original point remains. There are probably 8 games on that schedule NU wins handily. I can't call any schedule for any team that has that "tough". They will be judged by how they perform in those three games.
So, Alabama has a D+ schedule, and FSU's is about a C or C-. Cool.
Bama's isn't great at first glance but I notice at least FSU doesn't have an FCS school on their schedule.

And what does it matter anyway? I've said repeatedly in this thread about NEBRASKA'S schedule that the games that Bo and the team should be judged on will be Wisconsin, MSU, Miami and whatever they earn beyond that.

A four loss record with our schedule should be a disappointment, just like Bama and FSU would be let down if they went 9-4.
I just hope we can get to a place where noone can schedule FCS teams.

I guess. Fresno St, now McNeese St. Rutgers had a QB transfer from Minnesota until he got kicked off the team.

South dakota st proved they were better than kstate on their home field. And watching that game i truly believe sdsu wins that game at minimum 4 times out of ten.

But thats the only example i can think of that actually happened.

However i bet there are a handful of teams in fbs that could consistently beat the abismal likes of teams like colorado and purdue of last year. Every conference has that one, maybe two, really REALLY bad team.
