Do you feel we could handle Ohio State, Alabama, Oklahoma this weekend? And if so what gives you that feeling, other than mass doses of Kool Aid.

That is where some are saying we are. I just do not see it. Never said the season was over, just a lot of work to get to the level some are at already.
Out of curiosity, can you point to a post or two where people have said this?

tOSU and BAMA are in a league of their own right now. OU, it is hard to say, but they are easily the third best team. after that, it is up for grabs. all i am saying is that you are talking like we are the same team as last year, and i think it is much too early to say where we are as a team. yes we make mental mistakes, but they happen when we have a 20+ point lead. if our biggest problem is that we get a 20+ lead and then make mistakes, then that is a great mistake. if our problem is that we just cannot maintain focus for 4 quarters, that is a whole other problem. it is just too early to say. i think we can fix these problems and we will be playing at a high level (were we left off at the end of last season) by conference play. time will tell, but it is impossible to say where we are as a team right now.

i bet if we played Bama, OU, or Ohio, we put up game with all 3. Ne always plays to their levels. I dont think we have seen a full game from our guys. We get up by 20+ and we shut the jets off. We will see this weekend. We are 2-0, and this forum makes us seem like we were 0-2. We dont need to beat teams 50-0 like the old days. Those days are long gone, but we will win games and soon become National Champs.

I don't remember the Big XII Championship game loser ever being the runner up. Even when Missouri had their #1 ranking and lost to Oklahoma they got leap frogged by Kansas for the Orange Bowl. Something about ending on a loss makes you not favorable for the runner-up position, apparently.
