CFN.com Big 12 Skill Position Rankings

Why wouldnt that guy be ahead of henery? He has a better percentage and more points...and punting doesnt factor into how you rank a kicker, it only factors into how you rank a punter. 2 separate positions. I'm a huge Alex fan, but the numbers dont lie. The only thing he has on the Mizzou kid is the 50+ kicks.
Henery has proven that he has comparable consistency over several seasons.

Henery has a stronger leg.

Henery can make a 57 yard game winning kick under immense pressure. (Colorado/Nebraska in '08 if you've forgotten)

Henery and Ressel's are both perfect out to 39 yards . . . both have missed one between 40 and 49 yards . . . and Missouri's coaches don't trust Ressel to try anything over 50 whereas Nebraska's coaches know that is within Henery's range.

Again. Look at the numbers. Both have only missed one kick under 49 yards. Ressel can't/won't kick 50+ yard field goals. Henery will and does.

Speaking of Henery, did you know that he's currently tied an NCAA record for kicking 4 or more fields goals in a game, six times? While I'd love to see him break that record this season, it also scares me to think that if he's kicking 4 field goals in a game, our offense must be stinking it up.

Is it a fact that Mizzou coaches don't trust their kicker at 50+ yards? Maybe they prefer to do the field position game or their offense didn't continually stall after getting inside the 50. I personally thought that this could go either way with these kickers. They're both at or near the top when talking kickers in the nation.

No . . . it's far from a fact. I agree that it could go either way. I'm saying that you can make a legitimate argument that Henery should be above Ressel. Both are probably top 5 in the country.

So side by side, you really mean to say that you would choose Grant Ressel over Alex Henery?
