Championships your teams have won

Teams:

College- Huskers (same as everyone else for VB and FB)

NFL- Dolphins (73 & 74)

NBA- Bulls (same as every one else)

NHL- Avalanche (Had season tix to the inaugural season in which they won the cup 95-96, 00-01)

MLB- BoSox (03, 07)

So, as you can see...I am in a drought when it comes to Championship teams as of late.

I root for the Tennessee Titans in the NFL, and we were 1 yard close in January 2000
That was a heck of a game, one that for some reason I felt like the Rams had in hand, but which (literally) came down to the wire. That tackle may have been the most exciting play to end a Super Bowl, ever. Sucks that you were on the wrong end of it, though.

Teams:

NCAA: Nebraska (Football, Volleyball, Baseball)

NFL: Da Bears

NHL: Chicago Blackhawks

MLB: Cubs and Red Soxs

NBA: Bulls and Celtics (I barely watch NBA but when I do its usually during the Playoffs)

Unfortunately, outside of Nebraska, the only championship I can report is the 85 World Series for the Royals... when I was 3 months old. Since then, the Knicks haven't really been close. The Browns have been my team for all of a month now (not that they won anything anyway), but the Jets never won anything in my life. I'm not much of a hockey fan, but I root for the Flyers and Avs, but I can't really say they're "my teams". Heck, even in NASCAR, Mark Martin is my favorite driver, and he's come close, but no cigarillos either.

What prompted your switch to the Browns?
The Tebow thing was what prompted it, but I had just been getting fed up with their management style. I had been mulling a new team since they had hired Bill Callahan, and even though he had left, Rex Ryan's personality really wore on me, and I was surprised how easy it was for me to stop being a Jets fan. I went with the Browns, because I wanted to go with a team I've been pretty indifferent about so that I have no previous feeling clouding my fanhood. I also prefer traditional things, and the Browns are an historic team, with a fanbase that's not much unlike college football fans. Also, at the time, the last team to draft a Husker was the Browns.

1971: Security Mutual won the Apple Bowl against some team from Omaha - I was second string corner back

1999: Steelers won the KWAA league championship, I coached my son who was a starting offensive guard - took after the wife's side of the family.

Huskers

Dodgers

Jazz

Jets

94, 95, 97 Huskers

'88 Dodgers (Don't remember too much. I was only 7.)

Jazz would have at least one if it wasn't for crybaby ball hog Jordan and his push-offs before shots. (He never did much until Bird retired, anyway.)

I love Tebow. He gives everything he has on every play, and even though there are many good QBs that never led their team to the second round of the playoffs, he never complained once when Elway traded him like he had the plague to a team where he won't take more than 15% of snaps at QB. I'm sure he's been debated ad nauseum here and elsewhere, so I'll leave it at that. J - E - T - S, Jets Jets Jets!

When I moved to Illinois a while back I started following Blackhawks hockey and Cards baseball. Both won championships within a couple years.
