Changes to Spring Practice and the Spring Game

The Big Ten Network is planning on making a stop in Lincoln this spring.

Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos told the Journal Star on Wednesday morning that plans call for the network to carry the Red-White Spring Game live.

"That’s what I understand, yes," he said.

An NU school official said the network's plans had not been fully finalized and the conference has not yet announced its coverage plan.

The early start time, 11 a.m. instead of the usual early afternoon, is, "primarily to accommodate Big Ten Network," Moos said. It also follows the coaching staff's preference toward earlier practices.

I am also making some changes for the spring game.

With the early start time I plan on cracking open my first beer around 7:30am instead of 8am.  I plan to be in the car with my friends by 8am instead of 9:30am.

Better work on making some friends then!

I will be making the trip down to Lincoln within the next few years for this.  Heck I might even try to make this years spring game.
