Clarett said he made more money at Ohio State then he does in the UFL

Clarett is an idiot. Whether or not it's true, it is not going to help him (or tOSU) by dredging this up now. Unless that book sells a LOT of copies, that is.

He actually seems like he's really pulled his life together, despite all of his troubles. It will certainly help him make money, at any rate.

Perhaps. But would we feel differently if it was Lawrence Phillips who came out with a tell-all book? (I'm not sure what he'd tell--I'm just spitballing here.)

If it was still the same Lawrence Phillips that exists right now, who has thrown away every single chance he's ever been given? Yes. If it was a version of him that cleaned up his act, realized his errors, repented of his sins and healed from his demons, then no, I wouldn't feel differently.

It's not Clarett's book, it's the Nighthawk coach's book. Not sure if these after dinner talks were really supposed to be public, but the coach is the one making money telling stories like this.

If you read the original story it's pretty clear he wasn't trying to get attention or grind an ax. It was during a team bonding exercise by the coach where players would stand up and talk about their lives.\\
