Jake Heaps, a Class of 2010 ESPNU 150 Watch List signal-caller told affiliate Web site OUInsider.com his what his current offers list looks like.

"I have 16 current offers at the moment. I have offers from Washington, Washington State, Oregon State, Boise State, Arizona State, Stanford, Cal, South Carolina, Nebraska, UCLA, Tennessee, Minnesota, Duke, North Carolina, Notre Dame and BYU."

The highly-coveted trigger-man doesn't have a favorite or see a quick decision in his future, "I think a lot of people have a hard time believing that I don't have any leaders at the moment. I have just been taking in everything that comes and I have been enjoying the process. I have been watching college football and evaluating things and it has been real fun to sit back and see how things are going. So I am really excited to see how this whole season turns out and I really am just starting to get into recruiting. I am not going to get to in-depth with it until I am done with my current football season."

Heaps also shared what he's looking for, "I either want to be a part of a program that either has a very good tradition, a good team or a team on the rise. I want coaches who are going to develop me into becoming a great player and a great person. My education is number one because my football career is going to end at some point and I want to have that college degree. Also does the fan base really want me and do they really want me to be a part of their program. Will I enjoy my time while I live there?"

"You have to look at the players and the people that surround you. In a perfect world who would not want to stay close to home, but at the same time being away from home isn't going to effect my decision what-so-ever. Of course I want to play in an offense that throws the ball, but has some balance, because I believe a good offense also needs a great run game."

Junior ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive end Corey Miller told affiliate Web site TheBigSpur.com, "Clemson, UNC, South Carolina, Stanford, Tennessee, Nebraska, and Maryland have offered."

Miller also revealed what he's seeking, "Academics are important and location doesn't really matter to me. The campus, atmosphere, the coaching staff. Somewhere I feel like I can fit in."

Also, don't look for a quick decision from the coveted junior, "(I'll decide) Senior year definitely. I'm not trying to rush anything. This is all new to me."

Heaps not yet thinking recruiting

In terms of early scholarship offers, no quarterback out of the Class of 2010 is being recruited at the level of Jake Heaps (Issaquah, Wash./Skyline).
Heaps, 6-2, 185 pounds, received his first scholarship offers from BYU and Washington during his sophomore season and things haven't slowed down since.

"I'm up to 16 offers now," Heaps said. "The most recent schools to offer were Nebraska, North Carolina, Tennessee and Duke. Everything is still pretty crazy around here, but honestly, I'm just trying to focus on our season at the moment."

Skyline is currently riding a 21-game winning streak and has won back-to-back state championships. Heaps is having another monster year and has completed 78-127 passes for 1,305 yards and 18 touchdowns with just one pick.

"In five of our seven games, our starters were pulled by halftime," Heaps said. "I'm sure the numbers could be better, but we're winning and that's the most important thing."

Along with his recent offers, Heaps has also been offered by schools like: UCLA, Notre Dame, Cal, Stanford, Arizona State, South Carolina and a handful of others.

"I want to make a commitment sometime in the spring," Heaps said. "I'm being honest when I say I really haven't thought much about the recruiting process and don't have any kind of short list of favorites.

"I know I want to check out some schools, but I'm not even far enough along in the process to figure out what schools I'll be visiting. Like I said, right now, I'm just really enjoying our season and my main goal is to win another state title."
