Pathetic is about the only way I can describe this game. The thing that sticks out most for me, besides getting only field goals during the game and no TD's, was getting the ball back with 2:08 on the clock and then playing passive. You just knew in the back of your mind that Virginia Tech would mount a score if they got the ball back again as that's the way sports work -- momentum.
Should have tried to move the ball down the filed as if we needed another score, not content to just give them the ball back and take another chance with defense. As soon as we kicked, it was over. Just poor offensive execution and play calling throughout the game and especially there at the end.
What a waste. So stunned right now. Poor use of timeouts through the game as well. Just some major player penalties and coaching errors.
