It sure has a nice ring to it. He fits into Husker football and the fans were sure behind him at the Alamo Bowl. I doubt Pederson will pick him, Pederson is to egotistical. That man has an ego as big as the moon. He wasn't even man enough to face Solich. I am not sure what his beef is with Polini or even Turner Gill. Gill would be a good pick to because he is Nebraska football. But it is all up to Pederson. Where is the alumni when you need them? h34r:

So much hate for the man who has the future of Husker football in his hands...

It must suck to be the man that has to make the decisions.

I don't see his ego being enlarged. The guy has to be straightforward and confident

in his decisions. I would rather have an AD and coach that are confident in themselves

rather than ones that were "Well, I guess this is the right guy" "I guess I could be a

head coach". Pederson and Pelini display this confidence.

Last I heard, he DID face Solich. They had a meeting by themselves when Pederson

let him go. What do you want? A friggin' boxing match or something?

Who says Pederson has beef with anyone? Just because he didn't shoot from the hip

and hire the first guy for the job? BS.

Gill is Nebraska football? Explain.

i agree he has a big ego. he gave no substantive reasons for firing solich. this tells me it was a personality conflict, aka solich threatened his ego. he disrespected solich in the media and by the 5 min meeting they had. he had a personal agenda from the start. he even said it wasnt about the record, 10-3. it was about them not getting along like high schoolers, ego = little b!^@h of an AD.

A, yeah what Red said! And Gill has been with the program for years, he is motivator, he can speak, he has real experience and talent. He has morals, loyalty and he can coach. Isn't that Big Red football?
