Bo is a voter this year, I did not know that.

Also, it really seems like coaches and media (national) are bigger fans of NU then many of the NU fans are!

I dont know. Looks to me like they're all just rated.

I'm a little surprised. I'd have thought 19-23 would've been more our range. These polls are meaningless anyways. Said it in the past, but there shouldn't even BE an official poll until a full month of the season has occurred.

I do admit, there is something about the rankings that adds an element to games. A top ten matchup is just exciting for cfb fans, period. So it would be kind of weird to have that first month go by with no rankings at all. But I think the sport would benefit from it. We'd avoid certain post-season games that suck because one team came into the season at #3, lost three games, but still rode that initial ranking into a better bowl than they deserved and then got slaughtered in a boring bowl. That's happened a lot over the years, and the preseason rankings that are based on nothing but conjecture and intuition are a big culprit.

That's 13 overrated teams (including 2 immensely overrated), and just 6 underrated teams. You do realize that 25 teams have to be rated, right? Do you have a handful of incredible underrated teams that didn't make the top 25?

actually these preseason polls have more bearing than most think. They set the tone. Does a 1 loss Kansas St or Virginia Tech have a shot at the NC? How about a 1 loss Oklahoma or Oregon?
