Coaching Carousal 2025 Version

What Dabo is really saying deep down....

"My money !!!!! The market to overpay & extend coaches is through the roof right now !!! I could have got extra extra extra millions by winning only 8 or 9 games this year alone !!! But we keep losing !!! And it's your fault and I hate you, and I hate your mothers, and I hate SMU !!! I deserve more money like Rhule & Lanning and Cignetti did !!!

They don't have a terrible B1G schedule next year. But they do open with Notre Dame in Lambeau and have Pitt in Madison in the non-conference.

Away - Iowa, Maryland, Penn St, Purdue, UCLA
Home - Mich St, Minnesota, Rutgers, USC

But I would still put the firing over/under date at Oct 20. These things don't tend to work out.

I did respect Trev Alberts' "there's not a lot of empirical evidence of this kind of thing working" or whatever he said with Frost. That was more honest (and included a paycut for Frost) than McIntosh here. He has very quickly eroded all positive feelings fans had for him from his playing days. They honored one of their past teams at halftime a few weeks ago and actually cut away right as the pan was getting to McIntosh to avoid him being booed on the big screen.

A part of me feels a bit jaded that we didn't/don't get to play them when they are really struggling as a team. And just bury them.

They'd fire him right now if they had the money IMO. I am not sure he gets fired next year either as this isn’t about coaching, they appear to just not be able to compete dollar wise right now.

LSU is a far superior job. That one is common sense. Better recruiting plus NIL. Something is rotten at Florida and thus I would stay away. This is going to be a wild offseason!
They both should be great jobs. LSU & Florida are great baseball. The Gators won a national championship in basketball. These two football programs need to go 10-2 each year or playing in SEC CG. Seems like it's been mostly Bama, Georgia, and now some Texas & Ole Miss (and hopefully A&M). UF and Louisiana State need to do something fast or they will be middle SEC for another decade.

This is why theses guys have agents/lawyers, I could never do that kind of negotiating for myself!

Have any of you ever asked for a raise? I would be so bad at it.

Yes. This is why some kind of individual goal plan made with your employer outside of your already slotted yearly goals with the company is huge. Record everything. It shows initiative and that you care about your performance. Present it factually. The worst they can say is no.
