In my opinion, if Taylor is healthy Saturday, he needs to start and play until the victory is no longer in question.
I'm not a fan of the following attitude: We should rest Taylor this Saturday because we won't need him to beat KU, and we'll really need him at 100% against Texas A&M.
This is not how a football game should be approached. Nothing is guaranteed, as we saw last week in Ames.
KU may or may not be a cakewalk. I would err on the side of caution because we cannot afford to lose to KU. We are lucky to enjoy the cushion we currently have in the Big 12 North. A loss to KU eliminates that cushion and makes the next 2 games must-win situations.
The night game at Texas A&M is sure to be a battle, and it would be nice to know that even with a loss there we could still win the Big 12 North. Of course, that would require a victory over KU, which means that against KU, the staff needs to coach to win, rather than coaching not to lose.
