Here is the thing brasky... I understand you not wanting to toss out your sources, but you have to realize that a lot of people aren't going to consider your story ligit until you either A: give a source of your information, or B: a breaking story in the media gives proof to what you say is true. Im not saying its not legit what you are claiming... Im just sayin that you can't get too upset. I am also one of those people that I only believe something when I see it. And for me seeing it means facts when a story breaks. I haven't seen that yet.
Its kind of like the old legal term... Innocent until proven guilty. I haven't seen any proof yet to go out and hang the guy infront of a crowd. I'll give him the benifit of the doubt until I see some facts. If it is found out to be true, then I will form my opinion of him after that.
I think a lot of people just had a bad taste in their mouth because of the way you came out and made your claim without giving a real source or them seeing any facts in the media or elsewhere. Therefore without a source you are going to have a very hard time getting someone to just take your word for it.
You are absolutely right. My biggest problem is that yes, brasky may have the inside scoop, but how can we trust him or his sources if we don't know who they are? All this seems to be is speculation. The evidence says it wasn't tickets but it was a violation of team rules, short of that we have no other cold hard fact about what happened/what was said.My problem about this though is that if somebody has an "inside scoop" on what is going on with the Husker program, I would want them to freely share on the message board without fear of being attacked. If they are lying, we can lay the smack-down all we want. Yes, there are a lot of losers on the message board who post phony information for whatever reason, but there are some good guys (and gals of course) so I'm just saying we should be careful before we pass judgement. That's all
I don't want to pass judgement, I just want people to understand we shouldn't believe what we are told. It's unfair to Glenn and the fan base to speculate.

braskypants . . . I've been there too. I was similarly questioned when I broke the news of Green's injury.
I think if you had come off a little less sure of yourself and a little less arrogant about your sources people then might have reacted better.
Plus it's a touchy subject because in this instance we are talking about fairly serious criminal allegations against a young man...when we really don't know the whole story....well....ANY of the story.

Come on do expect him to admit to statuary rape? He'd be put in jail. The only reason he was never charged in the first place is because athletic department and the booster dad kept things quite.

I've always questioned what they've gained by covering it up but fact of the matter is that they did. I guess they did what they felt was best for Cody. (PERHAPS THE YOUNG LADIES FAMILY REQUESTED THAT THINGS BE KEPT QUIET IN ORDER TO PROTECT HER REPUTATION, OR PERHAPS THERE WAS NO YOUNG LADY.)

What do the Redskins care, they interview 100s of players, I highly doubt they have to time to dig into everything. They have to take people at there word, if I were the Redskins I'd probably believe him too.
Once again you have to be pretty naive the athletic department kept something as stupid as selling tickets (which is an NCAA violation by the way and would have had to have been reported to the NCAA) quite for so long.

Can't have it both ways. people were blasting him for not giving a source and when he does he gets blasted for throwing his source under the bus.
This is probably why our athletic dept has said virtually nothing on the matter. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I also reread my posts and I was fairly direct in my questioning of brasky's position but I will stand behind my posts. My wife says I can be rather straight forward and blunt at times and I know that's true, its certainly not my only fault. There is a great deal of difference between 'rape' and 'statutory rape.' Rape is a crime of violence. Statutory rape is an act committed by two people one of whom is not of legal age. When the elder is a male it is often punished by our legal system. But let's look at it from the opposite side. What if an older female has sex with an underage male? I can hear a lot of father's saying, "Atta boy son."

Uhm.....no. Brasky cited Kenny Wilson as his source. Then he said no, it wasn't Kenny Wilson, he was just trying to get people to leave him alone. Traditionally, telling a lie does not enhance one's credibility. It's also a pretty crappy thing to do to Kenny Wilson.
And if the rumor is true, keep in mind that all parties might prefer to keep this mum to protect the victim as much or more than Cody or UNL.
They do tend to run these actions by lawyers.
