College Football's Ten Dirtiest Programs

ummmmmmmm USC anyone? reggie bush. then RB recruit saying that he got a call from a former player(Bush I believe). I guess they dont wanna pick on the golden boys.

 
it is just a matter of time before the NCAA comes back and said that their is "No Credible evidence" to support any sanctions for USC

 
What is the list based off of? OU players are not dirty, but their program is. On the flip side, Miami players are dirty, but their program is trying to stop that.

 
The problem is that this list was compiled the same way many political poles are assembled. The person doing the pole wanted to INCLUDE certain schools and EXCLUDE others. I had seen this list before and apparently the guy writing it only looked at the last 10 years, or the 2000’s or some other narrow parameter like that. If you limit it like that you leave out all of Dennis Erickson’s years in Miami, Skippy’s days in Colorado, and many of the problems of USC that kept them off television, or limited recruiting, or cost them post-season appearances for most of the `80s.

As far as CU, Penn State, USC (Bush and Sanchez), and recent Miami incidents go, the article mysteriously only addressed NCAA sanctions. When you do that, you keep much of a team’s problems, both on and off the field, out of the poll.

And of course, if you are going to only count NCAA sanctions you will leave my #1 team off the list (drum roll please) The Crying Irish from Notre Dame. That school has had more players get paid, commit crimes, break or bend NCAA rules, and benefit from grade inflation to maintain eligibility, than any other program in collage football. Of course, the NCAA doesn’t have the balls to go to NBC and tell them that their little darlings will not be on TV for a couple of years and they will have to show re-runs of Cheers or play Heidi every Saturday in the fall. So alas, the truly dirtiest PROGRAM (if not players) in college football goes unpunished. And in that guy’s article, they went unmentioned.
