ESPN College GameDay headed to GaTech-Clemson

Word from the boys in Bristol is that ESPN College GameDay will originate from Clemson, SC next weekend (October 21) for the ACC matchup of Georgia Tech - Clemson. The game, which can be seen on ESPN at 7:45 Eastern, will feature the #12 Tigers hosting the #13 Yellow Jackets in what could be a preview of the ACC Championship game later this year.

Clemson will issue a press release after this weekend detailing locations for the ESPN radio and television crews for those fans that want to see the live broadcasts.

UPDATE: The ESPN GameDay broadcast stage will be located at Bowman Field the practice fields.

 
No big suprise here.......ESPN Gameday going to a Big 12 matchup is like Colorado going to a bowl game.......Fowler must have cryed to the brass,"Please let us do an east coast matchup, please....."

Gameday should be in Lincoln this weekend. Oh well, I guess it really doesn't matter. We will be on ESPN enough after we knock off the horns.

 
yeah they have covered Texas and Nebraska already, although Im not sure if its just because Im a Nebraska fan or not but it would seem national appeal would be Nebraska-Texas rather than Clemson-GT

 
If the decision was made on how many fans would be there, then Lincoln would be the choice, but they are probably expecting UT to win big, so they won't come here.

 
I kind of wish that they wouldn't go on the road every weekend. When they go to games in which there isn't much national attention, it kind of takes away the luster that GameDay is suppose to bring to the game. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have them in Lincoln for any game. But I feel like it should only be for the elite matchups of the season, not just a game that only matters to that conference and nobody else.

 
The 11 start is horrible. This game should be at 7, but there isn't a national Saturday Night game on ABC this week, only the local west coast game, so that's pretty week.

I agree about the 11 start time sucking a$$!!!! I was really hoping it would start at 7 that night..............I never imagined an 11 o'clock start time when I was planning on going to the game..........oh well I'm still going to have a great time and lose my voice and cause myself to have a headache by the time I leave Memorial!!!! I also don't give a rats a$$ if someone tells me to sit down I'm standing the whole game and if you don't like it try and make me sit down..............I swear you will be breathing through a tube and $hitting in a bag for the rest of your days!!!!! :bonez
