Colorado Look alike thread

Oh boy.  Probably could have done without this.  But funny.
Why be a douche?  I just don’t understand what this accomplishes.

Yesterday I saw the QB for Oklahoma State, a 5th year SR, nearly cost his team the game for taunting.  He had to be a douche.  Game went to 2OT and the announcers didn’t say a word about the douche move that made them unable to seal the deal with under 2 left.

Everyone wants the clicks.

Why does it matter that OSU taunted someone during the game? Obviously our players are smarter and doing it the right way.

The situations are not the same.  The behavior, in my opinion, is what is similar.  It does nothing to make anything better and in the case of OSU nearly cost them a win.

After watching a decade of poor culture, I’m surprised a phrase like “obviously our players are smarter” even crosses someone’s mind.

We are a culture of trying to one up, or even humiliate others.  Typically via social media.  People see praise and/or attention for behaviors and they will naturally replicate that.

Typically, I would not like this.

Bit, when you’re dealing with a pompous a$$ like Shedeur……I’m perfectly fine with it.

You’re overreacting.

And again, one team did it when it wouldn’t hurt the team. That is the smart team. Comparing them like what OSU did is relevant is weird. It shouldn’t be brought up because it’s not relevant.

Thank for your opinion that I’m ‘overreacting’.  From my standpoint, I’m just providing my opinion.  Which is what we do on message boards.

I’m fine with celebrating.  I actually enjoy jawing and s#!t talking.  I don’t care for taunting.  This tweet is taunting as was the OSU situation.  For me taunting is where the line gets crossed.  I’m not trying to be dramatic.  No one is hurt by it (except OSU nearly lost).  Because it’s a tweet doesn’t mean it won’t influence your culture.  I just believe taunting lacks class.  You already won.  Act like you’ve done it before.

It’s also interesting that so many have commented over the years about what makes Memorial Stadium great.  It’s respecting those you defeat. Even if they are a$$h@!es.  Coach waving his wrist around doesn’t fit that.

We will just have to agree that we are not aligned.  And that’s ok.

I get it.  It’s just my opinion.

We spend all this time calling out this behavior and then we celebrate mocking it.  I love talking s#!t, this is just not my thing.
Im with you.  I go back to Emmitt Smith's story about dancing in the end zone as a Gator.  Our action on the field needs to do the talking for us.  Act like you've been there before.  Shakes fist at clouds..... :D

The father did demand dignity on the field. When the son launched into a look-at-me touchdown dance early in his career at Florida, the father scolded him.

"Son, show a little class," the father said. "Act like you've been there before."

The son listened and never danced again.

Is it different if it’s in a NC game?

I don’t think mocking someone else’s gloating is the same thing as gloating. We were mocking their gloating. Nebraska did the same thing in 1995 with Florida’s choo choo train bulls#!t, and they had been there before.
