Colorado Talk Shows

Roy CO HSKR

Five-Star Recruit
Those of you who don't live in CO, have no idea how bad the media and particularly the talk show ahosts and callers are going to belittle and laugh at NU, Cornhuskers, Bugeaters, NU fans, NE citizens. the N on the helmets, NE women and on and on! All the old jokes will be rerun over and over.

Those of you going to the game, be careful. I've had clients and friends who have been heckled, their cars damaged and have had demeaning comments thrown at them in the parking lots. If I were you I'd consider transportation to the stadium that has local plates.

Or to put it another way, many of the CU fans are not good sports, winning or losing.

:yeah

I think that CU has a good amount of very nice fans. The majority of them like poking fun at NU (mainly because we beat them for SOOOOOO many years), but are pretty nice about it. :cheers

However, their "bad" fans are really, really, really bad. :box

I have even went to games in a "normal" coat, only to take it off when game time begins to show my true colors. Oh, and I definitely agree with finding a mode of transportation with local plates.

One year, I got tickets in the CU student section. Lets just say I was silently cheering for the Huskers that game.

my uncle went a few years ago in his newly painted husker red chevy truck and came home with f#*k the huskers key'd into the tailgate all the way back to beatrice (where he's from)...had to bondo those scratches out...not a good idea to drive to colorado...friends don't let friends do it...

Maybe I'll go someday, maybe not.

I would think it would best to travel in larger groups, huskers tour de forces and such....... but oh well.

It is good to get the word out early about things like this...

i'll be traveling in a smaller pack of 4... it may not be enough

NU fans, NE citizens. the N on the helmets, NE women
and making fun of such things only provides further proof of their idiocy.

fans? ok ok, so we can actually get more fans to show up to our spring game that to the pot celebration occuring on the same day. ok, CU has that one on us.

:smokin

-and the ol' "N" is for knowledge joke. why is it our fault CU fans can't spell... or count academic all americans?

-as far as women, Tommy Lee might have something to say about that :thumbs

I think Cu fans are this way because their air is so thin (hinders brain function). Anyone who makes fun of Nebraska women, has not been to Lincoln or Omaha (wow).

All joking aside, if someone actually damages or vandalizes someones vehicle over a football game they ARE stupid, idiotic, and mentally inferior to the rest of the human species. These are the kind of people that would vote for a president over morals or because they believe that God actually talks to their candidate. These people need to take all two of their teeth, their lawn chairs, and daddie's ol' deer gun and vanish. So, if there are any fans that would vandalize a vehicle, throw things on other fans, or harm other fans over a game; go to the zoo and play with the monkeys from which you not-as-much-as-you-should've evolved from (unless you are from Kansas, for they decided evolution does not exist). :box

Theyre just pissed because the women in NE shave their legs and wear deoderant.

LMFAO

KChusker and I have traveled all alround the USA, from New York, Miami, Lubbock, etc.... and there is no doubt that CU fans are the worst to be around !

We did most of our traveling to Boulder during the '90's and this is when CU was just becoming "good" and their fans did not know how to handle it....

If you are there and NU wins, those pussies don't say a word, but if CU wins, or it is a tie (yes, we were there when Bennett shanked a kick, dodging snowballs), those people are complete a$$hole$..

IMO, CU fans are the worst, ISU fans can also be pretty rude when they are playing well.... OU fans have ALWAYS been very classy down there....even KSU fans at the game aren't horrible.....

By far, the "nicest" fans I have encountered are Tennessee fans... They are very humble and respectful of NU... even when they had Manning....

and that was "all joking aside" part?! ;)

not to defend CU fans but most of them aren't from the backwoods of the Deep South...

Like Mizzou fans, like KSU fans, like ISU fans- Husker P#ni$ Envy (P.E.) is still rampant for CU. It doesn't matter that the Huskers are down now, as the disease was contracted years and even decades ago. amazingly even the Huskers recent down years haven't really cured it.

the effects of this disease were best illustrated when CU put the Nebraska score on the championship rings. and when their players expressed more pride in having kept Nebraska out of a bowl game in 2004 than they did in winning the North.

But what sets CU apart from Mizzou, KSU, and ISU in this regard, is that the above examples come from the PROGRAM and the PLAYERS- not just the fans.

with CU, hatred of Nebraska is part of their identity, their tradition. more than championships or winning or great players, etc.

Also consider the culture at CU, much of which was exposed this last year+. but hopefully at least that part might be fixed by the administrative changes they've made.

Who said I was talking about the south? That is your assumption. There are plenty of people in the North that fit this description. Pardon my play on words, but I did take a small bit of liberty. I am really surprised that you could not pick that up.

Damn, you can try to justify their behavior any way you wish, but in the end, some people just take things WAY too seriously. Most of these people are how old? And they are willing to vandalize or harm over football? What about this behavior do you feel is NOT idiotic? :WTH
