Compton update

I saw him earlier today. He is in a walking boot now, (completely off crutches) he's still a few weeks or more out.

I joking told him Bo must've sent the whole team to 'boot' camp after the game on Saturday. He just shook his head.

:P

Whether Compton comes back or not Lavonte David won't come off the field. He can cover way more ground than anyone the team has. The guy is all over the place. He absolutely blankets the TE's in pass coverage which I haven't seen in a long time.

They said he's out of the boot and walking in regular shoe now and making good progress. Hope luck is on our side and we get him back for Texas.

I hope that he can come back soon, but im not gonna be too upset if it takes him awhile get back on the field. I really like Eric martin and lavante david.

rumor from an inside source says he WILL be back for texas. keep your fingers crossed. Personlly I think its more important we have him for OSU than texas.

That's good news, but he's not been practicing for a month. Suppose he'll see the field anyway?

My guess is he will definitely see the field as soon as he is capable. He will make such an improvement on our rush defense.

I think a few of us are counting our chickens before they hatch. Even if he's able to practice you never know if he'll be able to go full speed or if he'll have any pain. The bone could medically be healed, but he could still have fluid and swelling for up to a month after the fact- definitely something that would sideline him. I woulf rather have them keep him out a week longer than risk him reinjuring or playing less than 100%. It's not as though our current LB's aren't serviceable.

Thank you reality check.
