Concern About Bowls

Given A&M's upset win over UT, they finish 8-3. UT finished with three losses. So, if we lose to OU, we'd finish with four losses, and would be, record-wise, the fourth-best team in the Big 12.

We'd miss out on the Cotton and the Holiday, likely, and end up going to the Alamo Bowl again. Or is it the SUn Bowl?

We didn't need the A&M win...

 
From what Shatel has been saying in the omaha world herld, a loss sends us to the cotton. Remember, the bowl order is the Pick Order. It isnt based on record.

 
Was in today's paper. So I assume it works either way. Texas wont be as apealing for a bowl bid with 2 losses to end the season.

 
Here are the latest CBS bowl projections out tonight. It puts Nebraska in the Cotton after predicting an Oklahoma win next week and put's Texas in San Antonio, the Aggies in San Diego in the Holiday Bowl, Texas Tech in the Sun Bowl, OK State in the Independence Bowl, K-State in the Insight Bowl and of course OU in the Fiesta.

Now here is my projection........Nebraska in the Fiesta.

Man, everywhere I look sports writers are predicting the South team to be in the Fiesta. NO ONE is giving us a chance. I guess that's more incentive to prove them all wrong and win!!!! :restore

 
We would have had a better chance playing the horns, but with Taylor as our QB we can go toe to toe with any team in the Big 12 and win. If Stoops or the sooner forget that it will be costly for them.

 
Listening to the gameday:final when they were talking about boise st and the feista bowl, they had to keep catching themselves. There was always Oklahoma said first, and a catch like they had to remember to say nebraska might have a chance too.

 
None of the so called "experts" will give us any chance until we beat OU and then go to the Fiesta Bowl and then they will pick Boise St. over Nebraska!!! :wacko:
