Just wanted to spew forth a few reasons I think this coaching staff will get it done this year once again, and out-recruit 95% of the other teams in the nation:
Look at what they needed to address last year: QB, RB, WR, LB, DL. I think these were the main areas of focus, some would argue TE and DB as well, but they may not have planned on losing Washington and Bullocks. Still brought Bowman in. Look at what an awesome job they did:
QB: Beck and Taylor
RB: Lucky, Jackson, Glenn
WR: Franklin, Hunter, Brooks, Hardy, Spain
LB: Moore, Octavien, Covey, Dillard
DL: Potter, Suh, Ola, Cryer, Tomerlin, Turner
Now I know it's early, but we have WR-Meno coming next year, another Elite 11 QB, and a great OL/DL recruit in Jones. We seem on the inside track for some great DB's next year (Wallace, Thenarse, Mouton). We get 2 of these guys we should have solid safety help the next few years, and Andre Jones, one of the top JUCO corners in the country, really likes us as well.
It's only a matter of time, but we'll be easily dominating the North VERY SOON, and should be playing for the Big XII title the majority of the time. The other schools aren't close to us on a recruiting base, and even Barnett said the other schools in the North cannot match the facilities at NU. It's finally time we put ourselves where we belong, and that's ahead of the rest of the pack in the North. We'll be there soon.
