I just read an article from WF. (I saw posts on this, but could not find them again, so I started a new reply...sorry.) We all have one thing in common...A LOVE FOR THE HUSKERS. We have different opinions and thoughts, but we love the Huskers. Growing up in Southeast Nebraska I was surrounded with Husker Football and the traditions that make it great. One of the traditions that make Husker football great is the home crowd, and how they treat the visitors. The article from WF praised Husker Nation for their hospitality...I cried, it was beautiful. I have been to sporting events all over the country...we are the best and most loyal fans in america. I love it when we stand and applaud the visiting team...I love it when the band plays their fight song. You see having lived in Ohio for 7 years and now California, it is hard for me to get Husker football, so this site is awesome...and reading an article like the WF article makes me realize just what I am missing...THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE NEBRASKA.

 
Great article. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Barring a wedding, I would have been at the game. But, I the wedding reception was at the Cornhusker Mariott, and I did my part in welcoming the Wake Forest fans whenever I had the chance. None of them really looked bummed out after the game even. Most looked like they had really enjoyed their trip to Lincoln. I love that I can say I'm part of the greatest fans in College Football.

Good stuff. It should be each of our goals to make everyone feel like writing an article like this after a gameday in Lincoln - unless they are being an arrogant ahole that is. ;) Then its best to just ignore.

It just goes to show you that Class is so much more redeeming than being a belligerent idiot - which is just a sign of over-compensation for something anyway, and trying waay too hard to be big bad and tough - which usually means just the opposite. Theres no reason we cant make life miserable for the opposing team, but b/t fans it should always be like this.
