Congratulations on having a good enough season to not get Kirk Ferentz fired. Enjoy your division title, but I'm rooting for whoever wins the B1G East this year. The last thing I want is for Iowa fans to actually have somewhat of a good reason to be as arrogant as they are right now.

I would agree that 12-0 is "somewhat of a good season"!

We have been very lucky this year, but wins are wins!

I highly doubt that we will win out, as I do not think that we should even be in the top 5, let alone top 10. What I do know though, is that we beat Nebraska and that always makes for a good day! You do have volleyball to look forward to, though.nwe really suck at that!

Did Iowa make up this schedule? I will admit the soft non-conference schedule, but how can you say we dodged anybody when the conference makes the schedule?

As much as it pains me to say it, we did have the luxury of a creampuff schedule a lot of years under Pelini, so we really can't say much about Iowa's schedule...

Actually, many of us do come in here to read all of the BS posted by all of the armchair coaches out there! I think that this year has proven that no longer you are the greatest fans. As proof was all of the applause while our guy was damn near knocked out on a cheap shot. Absolutely horrible. Might as well remove the sign. Bo Polini was right on! The weekly rants of firing everybody must be embarrassing to the real fans. Once again, maybe Bo was right.

If you want to see class, Ferentz benched one of his star players for a quarter for being LATE to a team meeting. It was not like a rape was committed at his house, he was just late to a freaking meeting!

Back when you were good, we had to hear about it. No longer. This program will not become what it was, ever.

That all said, there are a few of you (like many on this thread) that have it in perspective.

The guy that I really feel sorry for is Gangwish. What a class act that kid is. Any team of any kind would be better with a kid like that on it.

Good luck in your bowl game and we will see you in iowa city a year from now!

Nope, not me. Iowa is unimpressive and struggled to beat a bad Nebraska team.

The best Iowa team in history is only 8 points better than the worst Nebraska team. One win doesn't erase history. You suck, Iowa.

They were just what we thought. Very basic, and very stable. Stable enough to take advantage of our mistakes. I'll cheer for them in the Big10 Championship. hope they win, then hope the get absolutely biatch slapped in their playoff game. Yeah, yeah...Big 10 status and what not...don't care.

I ran into several Iowa fans after the game and was very congratulatory and wished the well. Except for one young drunken idiot...walking up to Husker fans and yelling "12 and 0" in their faces..he got to us and did the same thing...I was ready "Yep...12 wins this year, and still 0 championships". I don't think that we should continue to trot out the whole Championships thing. I really don't. We haven't won a conference title (or anything else of significance) in nearly two decades. Why should we hate you..that would be like hating a poor gutter dog that for once found a mostly uneaten steak in a dumpster. He' still a gutter dog, and still trolls dumpsters, but good on him for getting a good meal. The Hawkeyes have a long, long, long, long way to go before their program is anything but one more date on the calendar to me. Hawkeye fans are quick to resort to "It's been 20 years since you won your last championship" and that does seem a long time...but not as long as "forever"....Keep your program relevant for 20 years Iowa...then I won't snicker when you try to talk your lame smack.

Point of fact...our program hasn't been relevant at any time since we joined the B1G and for quite a while before then. Don't embarrass yourself.

Thats when you schedule tougher non conference foes. Here are some examples:

2016

Non Con: Miami (OH), Iowa State and (FCS) North Dakota......wow how impressive

B1G games: no OSU, MSU, or Penn State but you finally play Michigan....at home a long with Wisconsin, Northwestern and us

2017

Non Con: Wyoming, Iowa State and North Texas.....again so impressive

B1G games: Finally play Penn State, OSU and Michigan State

2018

Non Con: Northern Illinois, Iowa State and UNI......lolololol impressive

B1G games: No OSU, MSU, Michigan but you play Penn State

2019

Non Con: Miami (OH) and Iowa State

B1G games: No MSU or Ohio State but you play Michigan and Penn State

Nebraska's schedule the next 4 years

2016

Non Con: Fresno State, Wyoming and Oregon

B1G games: OSU but no MSU, Michigan and Penn State

2017

Non Con: Arkansas State, Oregon and Northern Illinois

B1G games: OSU and Penn State but no MSU and Michigan

2018

Non Con: Akron, Colorado, Troy

B1G games: we play Michigan, OSU and MSU but no Penn State
