Exceedingly well-deserved. Lost Albrecht, Hunter, Holman and Townsend off the court, and Hildebrand from the coaching staff. Despite that, he turns a team with two Seniors and four underclassmen and a very inexperienced Asst. Coach into a juggernaut in November and December, and got three points away from a second consecutive national championship.
It's a crock he didn't win it last year, too. Mary Wise coaches in the SEC, which the fourth-place Big Ten team would dominate year in and year out. Last year all Cook had to do was replace two coaches - Chris Tamas and Dani Busboom - and figure out how to replace the Rolfzen twins and Justine Wong-Orantes, and all he did then was win the Big Ten and another national championship.
Presuming Reyes sticks around to next season, Cook has this team positioned to be the preseason #1, and frankly they're going to be a terror on the court.
