That play had nothing to do with enthusiasm. That had to do with incompetence.

 
I generally wish former Huskers/Staff the best of luck, but the way it went down is complete BS. Man enough to call out your athletes and by proxy the current staff (ie current staff recruiting sux), but you say you have no interest and the next day gone. Complete lack of integrity. Folks can talk all they want about going for a better gig, more pay, prestige, closer to home etc... I have no issues with that. I have issues with how he left and what transpired.

As far as our DB's tweets, some have said they are mad. Are they mad at leaving OR mad at having your position coach, whom you trust, tell you they have no interest in leaving and the next day he is gone. If he was my position coach, I would be pissed to. Not him leaving, the BS way he did it.

NU deserves better.

Raymond was a three-year starter in the secondary for the Tigers from 1989-91 and played six seasons in the NFL.

He takes over a group of defensive backs that features three returning starters, including national defensive player of the year and Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann Mathieu.

he sure as hell ought to be able to coach up these kids.

I applied - it's the beauty of being a public position...any of us can. unless there are legitimate coaching names tied to those 50 applications the number could be 1,000 and have no more relevance to the argument.

Hmmm. One would assume that they are legitimate coaching names. Why else would they apply? Talk about relevance to the argument. That's just dumb.

Which is why we need to implement kchusker_chris organizational structure designed for the Huskers. Time to do something different. This is a fact of life yet we still run the program like they are going to be here forever...in the end we're just a training ground for coaching talent. We're the Kansas City Royals of coaching.

No, we don't run the program like they're going to be here forever. In fact, Bo has more than once stated that he intends to help his assistants continue their careers. I'm not understanding where you're coming from with that statement.

EDIT - Saw a Husker Locker blog where the guy said we should go after Ron Zook, name him co-Defensive Coordinator, and hit the ground running in both coaching and recruiting. Interesting idea.

I heard that on 1620 The Zone this afternoon as well. Seville said they might as well ask. I think it's an interesting idea, too. Maybe he was one of the 50 COACHING CANDIDATES THAT APPLIED!!

Ekler...was the LB coach at NU and left for Indiana to be the DC...no surprise there.

Watson/Gilmore...encouraged to "move on" after it was clear they were coasting.

Sanders...off the field issues/behavior caused his ouster.

Carl...left to become a head coach.

Raymond...I guess he couldn't turn down his alma mater after all.

So while Bo has had several coaches leave none of them "left" because they couldn't "get along" with Bo.

If you want to see it like that, go for it. The one with Ekeler I thought was pretty well documented and Raymond being the only one not receiving a raise and those 2 did have "spats" iirc... We all have seen what it's like for anyone to get in Bo's 'doghouse.' Those were the only 2 I said had issues with not getting along with Bo.. Like I said.. I'm not 'in the know' but people that are disagree with you.

seems to be a lot of speculation regarding Bo and his relationship with his coaches.........hard to know what is really going on......
