Who would fire him? Interim AD? I think we let him finish season.I wouldn't be surprised if he's fired after the next bad lost.
With Eichorst out it's obvious what comes next.
Yeah, that's something I asked in another thread, just what powers this interim guy will have.Who would fire him? Interim AD? I think we let him finish season.
You guys, he lost to Northern Illinois. They're already getting his walking papers in order.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but firing coaches does not guarantee success.Time to rid the program of the cancer that is Mike Riley. No need to prolong it. I, for one, am very proud the administration has made clear today that they will not let a losing culture take hold here. Eichorst and Mike Riley temporarily brought it here, but it must be removed aggressively and swiftly.
True, but keeping around a bad coach guarantees failure.Hate to be the bearer of some bad news, but firing coaches does not guarantee success.
Ha! I should probably get back to work....real bold statement here

and that is the nail on the head. You really need a coach that can weather all of the pulls- boosters/fans/athletes/media/history/expectation It's not for the faint of heart or for the noviceI'd have put "I like Riley and think he's a good person but I think he's in over his head" I would have chosen that one.
maybe- but will he do pressers about practice?I think maybe we should give the keys to Diaco. He's doing OK with that D. Seems like a good guy.
