Coverage map for NU/KU game Saturday

I feel like a broken record but the Big 10's TV contract is 100 times better than the Big 12's. Every Big 10 game is basically guaranteed to be available nationally, and most of them are in HD. They get the 11 o'clock ESPN HD and ESPN2 HD games, they get the ABC HD regional games and are guaranteed the reverse mirror on ESPN or ESPN2. Remaining games are available on BTN HD. So Big 10 fans will never have to pay for ESPN's Gameplan, which is pretty close to a ripoff at $30 (and most games in SD).

Meanwhile, a Nebraska fan four hours away from Lincoln (myself) has to pay $30 to watch the Nebraska game in SD.

You are correct about that. Big 10 has a great TV contract. Every, or at least I believe every, game is broadcasted on either ABC, ESPN or BTN and most if not all are in HD. Hopefully the Big 12 gets a sweet TV deal like that when the current contracts run up. :D

looks like espn360.com again
Not necessarily. If you get the Big 10 game on ABC and the Nebraska game is the reverse mirror then you will see it on ESPN. :D Just hope the Nebraska game is the reverse mirror game.
As I mentioned, the Miami-UNC game is the reverse mirror.
How do you know that? The map isn't even published yet. Here is the link to the map on ESPN.

Was wondering the same thing but I checked HD Sports Guide and it says the reverse mirror game is Miami-UNC.

Yes it sucks being in Big 11 country, but at least we have a team that they'll put on PPV. I can pay my 30 bucks at worst case scenario and still have my Huskers. That ends up being cheaper than going to a bar to watch it for "free."

Well, it looks like "Standard-Definition-would-be-a-huge-improvement" ESPN Gameplan again for me. I don't know if it's this way around the country or if it's just Charter, but they compress the video so much on PPV events it's almost like watching a grainy Real Media stream from 1998. It's especially crappy on a big TV, so I usually end up watching these games on the small TV from the kitchen. Maybe I'll give the 360 stream a second chance, but I hate how it often lags behind the Gamecast play by play.

Oh well, better than no video at all, I guess.

I have DirecTV and the Gameplan video quality on it stinks. I think it's everywhere so it's not just your cable company.
