The last 3 years Oregan State has upset 5, yes 5 top 25 teams. Including #1 USC (08), #2 Cal (07) and #3 USC (06). They have been doing it for a while now. WHEN did NU last beat a team they were not supposed to? I can tell you the last top 10 team NU beat was Oklahoma in 2001. They are 0-9 since then.

NU<Oregon State, when it comes to upsets. not saying it couldnt happen, but that is not a good example for NU to hang their hat on.

Maybe something out of the little giants. "Even if MU could bet us down Cherry Hill 99 times out of 100, we would still have that 1 time" :) just playing :)

I don't mean to be a downer, but honestly if I were going to bet I would bet against Nebraska for a 10.5 pt line. VT's offense put up 35 on us. VT's offense SUCKS. They really do suck. Yeah we'll put up some points because Missouri's defense isn't great, but their defense sucked last year too and I don't remember us scoring many points then either. I just hope that we show up this year. Last year our whole team checked out after USC. I think we'll at least put some effort on the field this time.

But since then we had Solich who wasn't that bad of a coach, and everyone knows who came after him.

 
I am hoping the Huskers can pull it together and at least be competitive in this game.

However, even though I'm a big fan, I also have to be realistic. VT's offense did not move the ball all year long. Then they play the Huskers and we make their offense look like rock stars (that play football really well). How are we going to make the number two offense in the nation look?

Unless the play of this secondary greatly improves, it's gonna be a long night. A long night filled with lots of alcohol.

obviously they are better at pulling upsets, because they are underdogs MUCH MORE OFTEN than NU is underdogs, especially at home!! i mean, come on, thats common sense..... think about it...

and to the guy making the couldn't care less vs could care less statement... neither is correct nor incorrect..... it depends on the message you are trying to get across... please don't make statements you aren't certain about when you're trying to correct others' grammar.
