Creaming conspiracy

The Nebraska helmets look like cream-colored plastic when you compare them to the Sooner facemasks.
Well, as many times as our helmets were smashed up against their facemasks, you'd think it would be easy to find a comparison shot. I'm on the case....
Yeah, in some pics they look cream, in others white. Watching the broadcast I thought they really looked cream. In comparison to photos from other games, I thought they looked cream.

Apparently they've been creamy for a while now, and we're all slow on the uptake.

Here are some photos from last year's game. The helmets look the same color to me...

I like the creamy lok better. I have my dads 74&75 white jerseys and I've always thought they were more of a cream color. I don't like the cream stripes if the rest of the uni is alll white though. Maybbe it is just a 300 thing?

These are the 300th Sellout throwback jerseys. We wore those new helmets and they were definitely white.

When the cream colored stripes was first brought up I was wondering when the Huskers quit using the cream colored helmets and went with the white helmets. I just really noticed it this year, but it is not something I payed all that much attention to.

I think the helmets are white, but they do look cream under the lights. I just finished downloading the HD feed of the game, and I'm now nearly convinced the shoulder stripes are not cream/yellow by design. If you look at some of the close up sidelines shots during the game, you'll see different players' shoulder stripes vary in the degree of off-white they are. Some look almost completely white while others look completely yellow. This makes me believe it's something to do with the screen printed material and how it's aging through multiple washes.
