I thought someone on this board might like a recipe for venison. I have never tasted venison, but, the person who made this, said it’s delicious. I just copied it.
Cooked a piece of venison in the crockpot. It was delicious. Soaked the venison overnight in a mixture of 2/3rd milk to 1/3rd sour cream.
Crockpot Venison:
3 lb venison
1 large white onion, sliced
1 Tb soy sauce
1 Tb Worcestershire sauce
1 Tb garlic powder ( don’t use the powder that is cut with corn starch. Use organic as it’s pure dried garlic)
1/4 ts black pepper
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 tin mushroom soup
Rinse off and dry meat. Place meat in a nonreactive container. Cover with milk and sour cream. Refrigerate overnight. Remove meat from milk and dry. Sear in some hot oil. Place in crockpot. Place sliced onions on top of the meat. Sprinkle with garlic powder and pepper.
Mix remaining ingredients and spread over. Onions and meat. Cover and cook on L for 6 hours. Venison is best not cooked on high in my mind.
