Crysis 2 or Mass Effect 2???

Looking to go buy a budget friendly, alien invasion type game. Loked at both of these, and got great reviews. Anyone who has played one, the other or both care to weigh in on where my money would be better spent would be much appreciated.

 
Mass Effect 2 easily. One of the best blockbuster games this gen. The sequel comes out this March, and you'll be able to import all of your decisions and data from ME2 into 3 (as long as you buy 3 on the same system). All-star cast, huge environments, great 'Dirty Dozen meets the Great Escape' story, and it's beautiful to look at.

*Plus* if you have a 360 or capable PC, pick up the first Mass Effect, and start from the beginning, as your decisions in 1 will carry over to 2 and 3.

Crysis 2 is good, but it's not ME2 good.

I just bought both. Going to start Crysis 2 later today. Thanks for the quick review.

 
Well, you already bought both games, but you're gonna like Mass Effect 2 a lot more. Better plot, better gameplay, better acting, etc. The only thing Crysis has is better graphics.

Got them both for about $20 at a local game store. Couldn't resist.

 
ME2 and its no contest. ME2 is one of the best games I have ever played. In fact I ended up with it on both PC and PS3. I've beat the game at least 6 times, and even went trhough on Insanity...and damn that was hard...some of the hardest boss fights I've ever done, and that includes anything from Dark or Deamon's Souls.

 
Thanks for the info. Picked up Mass Effect 2 and will get started tonight. Got a 5 day return policy w/ no questions asked to return for full value, so it's a no lose situation. If I dig it I keep it, if not I go turn it back in and get my $17.95 back.

 
Just finished Crysis 2 not a bad game overall. ME 2 will have to wait. Just picked up Rage.

 
Just finished Rage. Will have to go back and replay the side missions. Pretty good game somewhat similar to Borderlands.

Agreed. Hence, the PiR Fail Horn.

And I may be holding off on ME3. Not very happy what EA is doing with the DLC Prothean Partner that the 'normal' retail folks are getting screwed on.
