Current Ranking 2016 Class

Currently at 24th with a score of 218.5. If we don't get anyone else I would guess a few teams could pass us so we would finish 26-28?

Get Bisharat and we would be at 222.4. That would have been good for 22nd last year.

Speaking of B1G rankings

Here is how the West looks currently on the 247 composite

1 - Nebraska - 19 commits - 206.3 pts

2 - Wisconsin - 26 commits - 204.8 pts

3 - Minnesota - 19 commits - 183.7 pts

4 - Iowa - 24 commits - 179.7 pts

5 - Northwestern - 20 commits - 174.8 pts

6 - Illinois - 21 commits - 149.2 pts

7 - Purdue - 16 commits - 127.4 pts

If you go by average player rankings

1 - Nebraska - 19 commits - .869

2 - Minnesota - 19 commits - .849

3 - Wisconsin - 26 commits - .847

4 - Northwestern - 20 commits - .845

5 - Iowa - 24 commits - .841

6 - Illinois - 21 commits - .819

7 - Purdue - 16 commits - .806

Step 1 - Get the best players in your division (looks to be happening)

Step 2 - Coach the players up to their full potential (to be determined)
These haven't changed much besides our numbers (21 commits/218.5 score/.871 avg)

Wisconsin is the only team in our neighborhood in the West. Now we need to see this translate on the field.

Finished #25 on 247 and 5th in the Big Ten.

Looking at the classes, Penn State and MSU have slightly better classes but there really isn't much difference in them and ours. We have one more recruit than them and they have slightly better average player ratings.

Not bad.

#1 in the West.

Well, we didn'crack top 20 like I thought we would, Fitz ended that prediction. I like our class though. Think we have some real potential in some areas where it is really needed.

Still ended up closer to 15th than 40th so suck it GOAT.

Getting Simmons and Fitz would have probably only pushed us up to 23rd
Yep...our score would have been around 223. That would put us at 23rd this year.

If I remember right, they would have put our average player rating at .8778. Ours currently is .8707. Not a big change.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't have loved to have had them. But, it wouldn't have changed our recruiting class rank much at all.

Solid class. Has many components that will help the program achieve division and conference championship goals. The pieces are there. Now the coaches need to prove they know how to build a winner.

FLU
FLU and GOAT are the same person, aren't they? Both from Louisiana. Both use all caps. Both use short single word monikers. Both have grumpy, disagreeable dispositions.

To add to the thread, I'm pretty pleased with the way this class turned out. Wish we wouldn't have missed out on our last few targets but so it goes. Not sure I could put any of that blame on the coaches, seems like they did the best they could to get those guys here. Hopefully no DT's doesn't come back to bite us.
