Is anybody going to the CWS? I've seen most of the games on TV, but haven't heard or read much else. Did they do away with Dingerville? What about Zesto's? I have lots of memories of the stadium and games. We used to walk up to the stadium (I grew up on 6th & Martha St) and get a ticket and sit just about anywhere we wanted! My boys laugh when I tell them about the frozen malt with the wooden spoon. Now I understand some 27,000 are in attendance each game. I sure hope they really think about moving, because there is TRADITION there. Baseball players don't say they want to make it to the CWS......they say they want to go to OMAHA! I can see Nebraska T-shirts in the crowd, so just wondering if any of you all are going to the games this year. It's a great place!

I'm hopeing to go to at least one or 2 beavers games because I have cousins out there I like to get GA seats and get in line early for good seats it's one of my favorite sporting events

On one of the saturday broadcasts, I believe, they talked at a decent length about Zestos with Robin Ventura discussing how much he loved eating there.

Zesto's is still there in full glory. I still love the atmosphere...but it is getting more and more corporate. Oh, well...it's going to happen. I'm OK with it as long as they keep it at Rosenblatt.

as long as they keep it at Rosenblatt and Texas doesn't win it every year I'll keep coming. but most of all keep it at rosenblatt

Went to the opening ceremonies and than to the ASU/Irvine and OSU/CSF games on Saturday. Great atmosphere once again. I hope they don't move the series and I love Rosenblatt, but I do understand the sentiment to move to a new venue without all the steep inclines.

I went this afternoon and I was in line at the ticket office for a couple GA tickets and I was talking to this guy and he said he had a book of them (10) and said they where in the stadium and he would get them for me because he didn't want them so he got them for me and I kept 2 and sold the other eight to some scalper for 40 bucks so I got paid forty bucks to go to the game. that's why I love the CWS so much this is the second time Ive had someone hand me free tickets. the other time was reserved seats for the 02 championship game

Go 'Eaters!!
that game ended bout fifteen minutes ago, amazing game. woulda been there except for baseball practice. I was rooting for them don't like asu at all and it's fun to see some new teams make it to Omaha.

I myself am a beavers fan, I have cousins out there.

I went to a lot of games last year but have been out of town this year, I got a sweet Irvine last year for 5 bucks, my friend told me that he saw the same hat for 25 bucks, and yes they did get rid of dingerville, but there was talk of moving it to a parking lot at a casino in council bluffs but not sure if they did.
