Named to Big 8 All Conference Team...Never

Named Collegiate All American....Never

Heismann Candidate Finalist....Never

Named Big 8 Academic All-American...Never

Achievements of Note - Nothing really. Got knocked down in practice a lot. Ran after kick returners quite a bit...didn't catch too many of them. Caught a few balls in games where the outcome of the game was pretty much decided....typical college football career for a partial-scholly/work study collegiate athlete.

I never lived in Nebraska...was from the other side of the river, but just barely. Had an Uncle that lived in Lincoln down by the old grain elevators who was a giant Husker fan (worked at Firestone or Goodyear or whatever tire company was there) and he liked to take me to the games when I was growing up.
