Since the Mock League drowned and is now in the landfill, thought I would try something easier…
Seems everybody has been making ludicrous predictions about Nebraska wins, loses and scores (except mine of course, which were right on the money…I don’t have a clue why you try to improve on perfection) so why not have everybody put their money where their mouths are. Post your game-by-game predictions here…include winner/loser and score…then at the end of the year we’ll see who is the #2 Nebraska football prognosticator on the board (No need to ask who #1 is…but for all of you educated in Iowa City, that would be ME)
Perfect time to start since we all have a general idea who’s going to be on the field but no certainty…everybody will start off in the dark just like the next guy. At the end of the season, the guy who has picked the most winners correctly (which will be me of course) is the undisputed champion. In case of a tie, the person with the closest score prediction is the winner. At the end out the year…if we need a tie breaker…the person with the closest total of points for the winners and losers will become the undisputed Husker Board Prediction Making Guy…er…or whatever.
Week One - Nebraska 48 - Western Michigan 17
Week Two – Nebraska 35 – San Jose State 3
Week Three – Nebraska 42 – New Mexico State 24
Week Four – Nebraska 17 – Virginia Tech – 14
Week Five – Missouri 28 – Nebraska - 24
Week Six – Texas Tech 35 – Nebraska 17
Week Seven – Iowa State 17 – Nebraska 14
Week Eight – Nebraska 34 – Baylor 3
Week Nine – Oklahoma 24 – Nebraska 21
Week Ten – Nebraska 24 – Kansas 21
Week Eleven – Nebraska 45 – Kansas State 21
Week Twelve – Nebraska 27 – Colorado 24
Nebraska Total Points – 348
Opponent Total Points – 212
There you go…the rest of you can try for 2nd place… By the way…the 2nd place winner (or, as I like to refer to them…the first loser) will receive as a prize, not only the adoration of all members of the board, but also a coveted spot in my luxury skybox at the BCS Championship Game where we can watch Iowa State pound some pitiful SEC into the turf on their way to the undisputed top of college football….or a dirty sweat sock from the ISU locker room or something…
Bring it on, you self-proclaimed football experts!
