I really should have been an average to bad head football coach.Making $4.8 million this year and next and $2.9 million in 2026/2027 to stay home.
No doubt. One decent contract and then get fired and sit at the house with generational life changing wealth to do nothingI really should have been an average to bad head football coach.
Rhule is more of a CEO, giving him control of the offense should not be an issue!
The nice thing is, Holgorson gets a few months here working with this staff and really looking at who he can work with and who he can’t. For instance, many think our WR coach needs to go. But, now DH has expressed that Satt was asking the WRs to play way too many positions. I think he’s also shown in the Wisconsin game maybe our routes in plays weren’t the best. So, was that the problem? Or, is our WR coach actually bad? DH has time to analyze that. I expect him to make some changes if he stays. But, I’m not going to be surprised if the majority of the offensive staff is retained.I think the only thing I could see is if DH wants to fire all of the position coaches, or something like that, and Rhule doesn't want him to. But I think he should get to do whatever he wants![]()
Unless we score 10 points against Iowa, then he can leave!
+1 and even telling Dana to "do it" when it came to doing the play calling, helping Dana with the verbage of the playbook, and collaborating with the other coaches to help this offense be successful. And seeing Nate and Luke get more reps makes you wonder what Satt is/isn't seeing. I just don't see him staying. I do applaud his integrity and work ethic to stay. It's gotta be tough seeing the success and accolades heaped on Dana and still stay to do your job. As coach, not a fan, but I admire his character. Even if he is getting paid....
Good points, Sean. Lol sounds similar to what I heard Callahan just say on BRW-U.+1 and even telling Dana to "do it" when it came to doing the play calling, helping Dana with the verbage of the playbook, and collaborating with the other coaches to help this offense be successful.
Satterfield could have just left, but he's stayed on and helped. That's high character and a true teammate
And the most points scored against Wisconsin. The most points scored in 2 seasons, talk about an upgrade at OC.

I guess this is both a criticism and a compliment… if this is the offense that Satterfield designed but with the leadership of Holgorsen then this is exactly what needed to happen.

Bald is beautiful, I’ll go with Sean@308_Husker quotes Callahan/Sipple a quite a bit, so I think he's one or the other. That's why his avatar is Heisenberg. It's an alter ego/alias.

I guess I thought Sipple was hanging onto a few threads still. Anywho - here’s to Holgorsen taking another step forward with this offense on Friday and the defense to bow up and stop Iowa‘s running game.Ya they're both bald. He must just be quoting Sipple in order to cause misdirection.
Maybe the media team will be going to the bowl game in a Winnebago@308_Husker quotes Callahan/Sipple a quite a bit, so I think he's one or the other. "We didn't stumble our way into this win" is a direct quote from Sipple. That's why his avatar is Heisenberg. It's an alter ego/alias.
