Final blow to the CU football program. I'm not sure how Dan Hawkins retains his job after this season.

Rough. I remember when he picked CU and I thought he would be a beast. I don't know what happened to him but I think him leaving Colorado will help.

Good and bad:

The good is that this should only help drive in nails on Talkin's coffin, the bad is that this kid never really got the chance to show what he could do and it is a shame for him. Sometimes things really have to hit rock bottom before they can be good again.

This so called "cycle" of talent in football programs is strange, to be honest I thought Hawkins would build a giant in CU like he did at Boise. Too bad, with such a highly touted recruit does not pan out that hurts, I still have a hard time buying into the whole :star ratings, when you have no idea how things young athletes will adjust to college football and college life.

Your a good fan BB. You take the good and bad with an even keel.

This is what you call a big "FU".....

Darrell Scott joined the Colorado football program on national television 21 months ago. He left it Tuesday via a text message to coaches.

"I'm out," was his reply to a text message coach Dan Hawkins sent him in mid-afternoon after Scott was seen at the Dal Ward Center making several trips through the front doors carrying some of his belongings.

I can assure you I am weeping from within...lol

The good thing is that the Broncos are 6-1 and our local high school team that I am heavily involved in is 8-2 and headed to the playoffs so I can point some very good aspects to my football season, so I cannot complain too much.

Always greener.....Hawkins should have worked out. He built Idaho St, on the outside the hire had all the makings to be positive.

DS needs a fullback anyhow and we still think we are some passing team. Until that changes we will be a cellar dweller, you give me the reigns and we will be in an I-formation or a pro-set by the end of the week.

Hawkins would have worked out if he had brought Chris Peterson with him. I firmly believe Peterson is the reason Boise St was and is so successful right now.

Maybe CU and Boise St can do a one-for-one swap at the end of the season.

Too bad that CU is not a vertical job from Georgia Tech if I could pick a realistic college coach I would go with Paul Johnson. My fantasy pick, sort of like thinking Scarlett Johansson would marry me, would be Mike Shanahan.
