I read Mike Reiss's Patriots blog at ESPN, and he was citing a national draft expert on WR prospects and mentioned that Alshon Jeffrey was a 2nd round guy because of issues dealing with press coverage. I immediately thought of Dennard, who is a press coverage demon, and that's the kind of thing more common in the NFL than in college
This is an excellent breakdown of that game, and I think it highlights Fonzie's skills and physicality more than it does Alshon's weaknesses. I feel like any team taking Alshon in the 2nd would be getting an immensely talented receiver with physical tools, and it would be a steal. He just went up against one of the baddest corners this nation has seen.
