David Dyches is leaving the team

Callahan reported in the press conference that Dyches is leaving the team to go to Northern Colorado, according to the Lincoln Journal Star blog

Don't believe he was, but had one waiting for him if he contributed. Good blood lines, but WAAAAAYYYYY TOOOOOOO BIIIIIIIG!

Dyches was good but, Congdon showed he was better. I remember thinking earlier in the year (think PITT game), why is Callahan leaving this True Freshman in?

He must have shown how good he was in the off-season, and it just took a few games to get in the groove, he came up HUGE at the end of the season (think K State game).

Anyway, no way Dyches would be able to get the starting job back, so Good Luck to him at Northern CO!

I am not sure Gibson was on scholarship. I will have to check.
Gibson was a walk-on that joined the team in August. Dyches will not be missed because of Congdon. Best of luck to both of them in their other endeavors.

ff,

You don't need to be reminded to attack the post not the poster. And I don't want to hear it is just your opinion about the post. It is also off topic.

Hey, I understand why Dyches is leaving..... and the very best of luck to him...

But, Congdon is the starter and will be..... I don't want to jinx him or NU, but my goodness, it's not like you need to "stockpile" kickers......injuries tend to be few and far between (but dont ask the Gramatica boys  )

As Sean Salisbarry (sp) would say....."He is a KICKER, who cares"......

* with that quote, I am reminded of the Orange Bowl and the KSU game this year when THE KICKER was one of the most important parts of the team/game.

Good Luck David...... thanks for what you brought to our program/

He was just beat out at kicker by a better kicker. I hope he does well at his next stop and gos on to the NFL as well. Good luck DD.

GBR!!!
