DB James Poe

I look at every Husker website there is, which is why I'm usually on here sporadically. But when the issue of copying comes up, your name inevitable comes up. I couldn't care less who's right or wrong, but the board your on has to watch their back. There's a history
I will repeat it in case you missed it through my long thread Red November

It doesn't matter if you talk to recruit X or Y or Z 10 or 20 times. You are going to get the same answer over and over and over again. Recruits don't go around saying "ok, i am going to tell rivals one thing, scout another, espn's scout service a different story and if my local newspapers calls, i am going to totally throw them off and give them another story. sh#t is going to match up and just because 2 services write similiar articles and somoene comes along and writes a third article, it's magically suppose to just be different?

That's why these sites are under the assumption i am copying from them. What a recruit tells 1 recruiting service, he repeats it for 10 more other services. If you are going to go pick from the orange tree, you are going to get oranges

1 last comment, then im gone/done. I already told Big Red Jake and DJR this earlier, so i might as well just make it public and get it over with. I am going to be gone for a while. I may return in 2 or 3 weeks, i may not return. From the sounds of it, i have worn out my welcome. So thanks to everyone, but it's time to move on in my opinion. I might check in from time to time. I have had a great discussion with a lot of people and even though DJR and BRJ know we got into a heated one, they know where i stand after my pm's to them and i respect their opinions as individuals and great husker fans.

Later guys

I was supposedly given a speech (can't recall by who) that everyone comes here with a clean slate, yet you just admitted that my posts are more scrutnized then anyone else.
Because you write about recruiting. Plain and simple. Have we ever scrutinized any other post. Not that I'm aware of, I could be wrong. In fact, I thought you handled many situations quite well.

I don't have to validate to you my employer. The people who read my articles on my employers sites already know i am validated. You want my employer? It aint gonna happen.
That's fine. You are absolutly correct, you don't, but have to understand the position you are putting this board in. Why are you so afraid to tell us privately who your employer is?

You still don't get it do you Ar Husker and neither do some people who still think that by publicly trying to call me out is going to effect me.
I have tried a few times to connect with you, especially on who you are writing for and you don't want to "reveal" this. Again, perfectly fine. We have been online for a couple years now, with many hours put in, we are going to take serious any threat, no matter what it is, and investigate.

So before you go around throwing insults
What insults?

No offense but i find it hard to believe you practice law. That statement right there just makes you look silly. Material we gave them to use with OUR consent is now their property?
Oh boy...

I have had a great discussion with a lot of people and even though DJR and BRJ know we got into a heated one, they know where i stand after my pm's to them and i respect their opinions as individuals and great husker fans.
This is what makes this all the more difficult. Your posts ooze with passion and pride and your intentions to provide Husker Nation with great information is so much appreciated. I know I do. But you have to understand the position you are putting us, the board, in. We don't have the funds either if someone wanted to pursue litigation. It hasn't gotten close to that, but we don't want to try. Big buisness wins again. They have the capital thus the monpoly to dominate this "recruiting world." I hope you don't leave, I hope you stick with us, your discussions and posts are very in depth almost inspiring.

Final statement: Let it be known we as the board are being put in a difficult position here. Recruiting is big buisness. We are being sensitive here because we don't know the employer. Very tough spot.

whatever happened to james poe in this thread?
Got me. We'll get back to is shortly neb bob.

Eric, you know as well as i do that Rivals and Scout do not own the recruiting business. They may be big corporations with big ego's and think they do just because they spend money, but that doesn't mean they own it. If i wanted to put this site in jeapordy, i would have done so already. Untill i see that you and the rest of the mods aren't bending down infront of those 2 big egomanic sites, i will continue to holdback information to protect MY EMPLOYER just as you protect YOUR BOARD. You don't want to jeapordize something, and neither do i. Fair enough deal isn't it?

James Poe earns player of the game award in the second game versus Colonial. First interview is with Anthony Payne (you can skip over it)

Link

Freedom wins 45-14 over Colonial. Freedom is off to a 2-0 start for the season

Sparntess, the 1 star ranking by scout is the equivlant of NOT being ranked by Rivals i believe.

James Poe is having an outstanding season, but he wants to play RB at the next level. Nebraska is recruiting him as a LB, so there could be a possibility he cancels his visit to NU becuse of his determination to play RB. Unless the coaches can convince him he is better suited as a LB then a RB (he runs a 4.7 and that's slow for a DIV-A RB) he could be looking elsewhere eventually.

Did she ask him to come home so they could talk about it, or did she tell him just plain no?

I can't understand why parents would keep their kids from doing what THEY want to do. They are individuals who have minds of their own, treat them as such, just help them along the way. Sit down, talk to him and make 100% sure thats what he wants, and if it is, let him go and be where he wants to be, not where you want him to.

Maybe that is what Poe's mother is doing, I can't read the article but I hope it is.

There are plenty of parents that want their kids to go to Nebraska, but their son doesn't. In fact that's probabkly the case more opften.

At least taking just a few days to think about it possibly lets us see less of a Calvin Mickens situation (commit and then change their mind). Kids can easily get caught up in the moment, and commit without thinking if it is really the right decision for them. Yes, we would like them all to commit, but committing and then backing out can lose us other commits. IMO I wish they would all think about it first. The mom is just taking the cautious side for her son. I would be that way with my kids.
