DB/RB A.J. Wallace

Jeremy Crabtree was on 1620 the Zone last night and said that we have a great chance at getting Wallace. Sounds like he will probably announce his decision at the AA game. I'll take his word over anybody out there, the guy knows everything.
Well, there was a great chance of Reggie Smith coming, and well, we know what happened there. But despite "leaders: and the such, are chances are still decent to get a commit out of him.

hello, I read an article today that had wallace stating that he does not have a top 2, & that it is very hard for him to narrow his list, & decide b/w his top 4 schools

is this a ploy by wallace to build back suspence to his army all-amer decision, or is he being truthful?

plus, there are so many reports on wallace & what his decision will be that it is getting very confusing for me, since I have heard/read that crabtree has NU as a co-leader, & scout had NU on the outside looking in, & rivals has him w/ a top 4 of oh st, pa st, fl st, & NU

p.s. fsu last thur sent 6 coachs to wallace's house for an in-home visit

2nd p.s. wallace is now rated by rivals as the nation's top hs cb

Maybe he is trying to create TV drama for this weekend when he pulls the hat out of the bag? Jerrell Powe did the same thing last year, making a choice out of left field.

Yeah I remember Jerrell Powe ended up going to Chatham Hargrave Military School, and now he is committed to Florida State. That prep school seems to have a ton of D1 prospects come out of it, just check out the prep school rankings on Rivals.

Powe pulled the LSU hat out of the bag last year after being a heavy Auburn lean, then flipped on signing day and signed with Ole Miss. He ended up not qualifying and went to the Military School like you stated, and has now re-committed to Ole Miss.

Just to put it like it is....Wallace has two favorites. He specifically said NU was not eliminated, but was behind his two favorites as of yesterday.

Where Nebraska has been eliminated I do not know.

But his chances of being at Nebarska are slim and none.

that blows...would have been nice to have a superstar like him in the secondary...

True. But what I do not understand is why he clearly stated Nebraska and Florida State had not been eliminated, but yet they weren't among his top two? Why give fans some sort of false hope? I do not believe Wallace is the type of 'me' player who wants the spotlight by shocking someone Saturday, but I'm hoping for it. :)

He hasn't given an impression either way, but I think all the cocky and arrogant PSU fans will be disappointed on Saturday in regards to Wallace.

People need to keep in mind we are dealing with 17 year old kids. You tell a kid he has an offer from FSU, Miami and USC and then tell him to pick, he would choose one school and then 5 minutes later tell him you have a xbox 360, he would tell you his favorites is the xbox.

I think the main reason he eliminated NU is because the coaches at OSU and PUS have told him he can come in and get looked at as a RB, and he understands the stable is pretty full here. We want him as a DB but it appears he wants that spotlight that goes w/being the RB.

I personally think that is bull.

Just on the Ohio State DC you will have:

Antonio Pittman (JR and returning starter)

Maurice Wells (SO, 4* RB last year, 2nd on DC this year)

Shaun Lane (SO, 3* RB and 3rd on DC this year)

Erik Haw (SO, another 3* RB and 4th on DC this year)

Chris Wells (FR, 5* RB consesus top 5 player and complete freak of nature)

Now look at Ohio State's DC and tell me if they have more talent at RB than us? I would tend to think they do and that's saying something.

Penn State has everyone on their 4 deep returning next year as well.

Out of the 3, Nebraska is the only one without a definite starter returning next year at RB who had significant PT this year.

AJ may get time at RB if he goes to PSU, highly doubtful at OSU. But in the end, I still think he goes to Ohio State.

I personally believe both of his 'finalists' are moreorless telling him what he wants to hear. JMO, though.

:yeah His best bet is to play cornerback in college anyway, so I don't know what everyone is telling him he can be a running back for (probably just a recruiting ploy).

Assessing the talent: Super fast DB who is quite strong with a bench of about 275. His grades are good so qualifying shouldn’t be a problem. He is a solid cover corner, but rushed for over 1,300 yards as a junior. Is being recruited hard by the majors.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 0%
