DC Bound....

Well it looks like my days as the popo are soon to end for good. I have decided to get back into K-9 and took a job with a company up in DC. The job is actually working an exlposives detector dog and providing bomb dog support for various Govt buildings in the DC area. I flew up there and got to meet my new partner. He is a 4 year old golden retriever and his name is Mike. The company also provides me a vehicle and a credit card to pay for gas, vehicle maintenance and dog food. Mike will be living with our family and my kids are excited to be moving to DC. Well not DC but southern Maryland. The country up there is awesome! Now I will have to locate a new Husker watch site in the DC metro area. I am going to miss the great weather down here in Florida but nothing else.

Lots of nice country up there just way tooooo many bureaucrats from both parties. Hope you like the new duty and stay safe and always remember if you see the bomb squad people running away; try to keep up

After some recent happenings at my department, I'm halfway thinking of quiting and moving on to another department or something else all together myself.

I tell ya what, after going up there and visiting the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, there are no signs of a bad economy there. Houses sell very fast and there are jobs EVERYWHERE! I have a few buddies from my department that are currently applying for US Park and Capitol Police. Those two departments are second to none.
