The defensive end position is key for the Nebraska recruiting class for 2010. The Huskers lose two scholarship defensive ends this year and there is a need to at least bring in one and possibly two with the late loss last year of a defensive end recruit to another school. The Huskers hosted a highly recruited, pass-rushing specialist from Illinois this weekend and made quite the impression.

I'd say Ankrah was supposed to be Young's bookend not his replacement. We still came-up short at DE last class. Chance would be in a great situation to play here, and get developed more than he would at ND. Really hope we get him.

Yeah, Wisconsin pulled because of another commit. No grade problems or anything. Expect a decision May or June sometime.

They pulled an offer to a guy they weren't getting anyway? OK I guess.

yeah...how did we know? usually, isn't it that recruits try to commit, then find the offer is no longer valid? Or do schools send mail and announce that the offer's pulled? Not sure how it works.

I think he was specifically told that someone else had committed so the position had been filled. I don't know if he literally had to send back a the piece of paper or whatever, but it was made plain to him that they were no longer interested.
