Beal will be a bulldog. Johnson said he is still considering nebraska. Kudos to JP and Johnson for working on him
Odds are overwhelmingly in UGAs favor. Think he decommitted from ND in part to be closer to home. A visit would be a win in itself.

A visit is not a win. If you get him to visit and he commits elsewhere you wasted your time and you lost PERIOD. Cutthroat mentality. Only in fairyland is a visit a win.

Can't win the lottery if you don't ever play. 0% chance anything happens without a visit. Technically he is committed to an SEC school about 50 minutes away from his home, so a visit this late is a win.I get what you're saying but a lot is working against Nebraska here.

A two-year starter for Nebraska at outside linebacker (1998-99), Johnson these days trains athletes in suburban Atlanta, including four-star defensive end Robert Beal — who in July verbally committed to Georgia but apparently is listening to other schools.

"We have a shot at him," Johnson told me in an interview right outside Nebraska's locker room not long after Friday's Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee. "I don't know if he's going to pull all the way from Georgia. We'll see."

Johnson thinks John Parrella gives Nebraska a chance. The first-year Husker defensive line coach was a teammate of Johnson's on the Oakland Raiders in the early 2000s.

I have never seen a good sales man that considered it "Wasted time" to spend timing prospecting.

^^^ 100%. I'd even say it's not "prospecting", but a step in the sale. Getting face time in home is a win (you know how many he turned away?. It takes many small, consistent victories to close the deal.

Also, if we don't sign him, he speaks to his buddies from hs and around and has good things to say about JP, the program etc. Never is a face to face wasted time. Never.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But, he's kind of the wrong type of DE for us now...isn't he?
I think he would be like a stand up OLB like Demarcus Ware in a 3-4. I don't know enough about the system though. It will be interesting to see what shakes out at DE this Spring.
