Defense in 07

Four-Star Recruit
This is how i hope the defense looks in 07 although im sure it wont. Let me hear your takes

DE Turner and ?

DL Beast and Suh

will OCTO

Mike Dillard

Sam McKeon

CB Bowman and Juco recruit

S Thenarse and Green

The other de will be Potter. But don't forget about Ruud at lb, and Culbert at safety.
I think he is in agreeance wit me that we hoping ruud be a benchwarmer next year.. and thenarse is way better than culbert at saftey.. a bit bigger stronger and faster

Bring in the man from LSU (BO) and I can see lots of success in 2007! Of course he will be a head coach next year if any one knows anything!!!!!!

How does Brandenburgh fit in? He's a mean SOB. Maybe not as fast, but being in the right position most every down can cut your speed deficiency down quite a bit.

DE Turner and Potter

DT Suh and Steinkuhler

LBs Octavien/Ruud

McKeon/Dillard

Brandenburgh

CB Jones

Bowman(Grixby-nickel)

S Green

Culbert/Thenarse

I do like the philosophy of getting McKeon and Dillard on the field at once, but who knows if Cosgrove will do it. If I see Pelini's name one more time today, I might throw up.

Brandenburgh fits in as he does this year. Playing 2-3 possessions in a row spelling the starters. Dillard will start at Mike. him and octo make a mean LB core. Mckeon at sam makes a lot of sense in our D he is faster and more of a play maker than Bradley is. I see Ruud being the 5th LB

I think Mckeon stays at MLB. He's obviously the defensive leader for next year, and MLB is the quarterback of the D right.

Octavien hasnt been on the field enough, or made enough plays to be casted a wishful starter. Same with Dilliard.

Ruud, Bradley - they havent been consistant. Bradley will be gone.

Brandenburgh has missed his share of tackles as well. He's not the best on this team.

McKeon has been most consistant.

The LB's have done some good, but I had higher hopes, and the media presented higher expectations.

I think dillard and octo will do fine next year after a round of spring ball. I do agree that Mckeon will stay at MLB, he is familiar with all of the D fensive play calls and I know that it takes a lot to learn the defensive signs and playcalling.

He has that "football speed.' Kinda like Barrett Ruud did. Not the fastest guy, but he hits hard and makes plays. :bonez
