Defensive job opening?????

So there was the big hubbub over the job posting on the UNL website for an Offensive coach, which is understandable. My question is if there are legal requirements to have jobs posted for so long or what ever why is there not a job posting for the Defensive openings that we know for sure exist? Seems strange to me, what say you?

Stepping away from NE Football our society has started thinking that this posting in some ways shows how diverse and open minded we have become. The whole thing is a sham and if a person felt discriminated against the fake job posting would be worthless.

The whole requirement to post the job is stupid and the posting should never have to occur in the first place. Bureaucratic red tape with overlapping layers of legal advice is the new "American Way"...

much ado about nothing. no reason to get pissy about it either way.

its public records law. the university, and the football program, fall under it.

if a job becomes officially open that is going to be filled, it must be posted in the public domain.

the end.

whether they look at the applications that get sent to the job posting web address is another thing (id bet dollars to donuts they dont see the light of the football complex offices) but still immaterial.
