Yeah - sorry mav but I don't think Barnett even had an offer from Bo. But by ur logic Rileys only class would be this incoming class. You gotta give Riley credit for the 16 class and Barnett at a minimum. 

Like I said, I was giving credit to who they committed to.  Riley gets credit for Barnett and some of the others in the class of 2015.  Riley gets credit for most of the class of 2016 but two of the OL were committed before Riley was even hired so I don't know that he should really get credit for them.

given that most kids these days are committing to a coach and not a program, wouldnt it be logical to assume that they committed to both coaches? why does it matter who recruited them since riley is the one that has been coaching them? someone could easily make the counter argument that riley's staff has coached them up making them better than they were coming into the program.

better question, why are we dwelling on the past when the future is staring us right in the face on saturday?

Also, another thing I was curious to see is we're exactly at the half-way point (time-wise) for when guys showed up on campus.  Fourth- and fifth-year guys were part of a full Pelini class.  Third-year guys got here in the coaching transition.  Obviously the new guys are Riley's recruits.

It's long been the story that Pelini's recruits were sub-par.  I was curious to see how many of the newer guys were able to surpass the older recruits to get on the field.  Here's my count based on the depth chart as released (13 offensive positions listed) going by when the recruit committed.  Disregarding "-OR-"s.

Offensive Starters: 6 Pelini, 2 Riley, 1 Transfer (Riley), 4 Walk-ons

Offensive Backups: 4 Pelini, 6 Riley, 3 Walk-ons

Defensive Starters: 8 Pelini, 2 Riley,  1 Walk-ons

Defensive Backups: 4 Pelini, 6 Riley, 1 Walk-ons

So 14 toxic players are starting?!??!  UGGGG!
